Because of its unique method of processing, our MINSPAR product line has found wide acceptance in water-based and solvent-based coatings, as well as adhesives, sealants, ceramics, glass, abrasives, and plastics. Minspar exhibits a slight blue undertone, which will not yellow on exterior exposure. Its high Mohs hardness and blocky particle shape combine to provide excellent abrasion resistance and wear properties.

Minspar products are primary used:

  • As fluxing agents in the production of ceramics, where they play a vital role in the firing of tiles, sanitaryware, tableware, and glazes.
  • In glass-making, where they provide the aluminium that enhances the strength and transparency of hollow glass, flat glass, and glass wool.
  • As functional fillers and extenders in coatings, plastics, adhesives, rubber, etc.


Our mica product, P80F, an air ground Muscovite mica, offers beneficial rheological properties and is chemically inert. With excellent dielectric and thermal insulating characteristics as well as strength, flexibility, and elasticity, P80F is used in a number of applications to improve performance.
