The QUARTZ Corp’s Minspar product line’s unique combination of surface chemistry and particle shape allows it to be universally applied in water-based, high solids, and powder coating paint formulations. Finer Minspar grades are ideally suited for high gloss paint, while coarser grades are more appropriate for gloss control and to add texture to the paint products.
In oil, alkyd, and solvent-based systems, Minspar provides the low viscosity needed to meet high solids and low VOC requirements. Low in oil absorption, Minspar is also effective in high solids and powder coating applications where matting is desired and low viscosity must be maintained. In addition, Minspar delivers high CPVC levels compared to most other extender minerals.
